East Training 2025/6 - Weekend 3 - Sunday

This weekend will offer a great introduction to Team East, offering open training and skills development for optimist sailors new to racing (also known as regatta racing). They just need to be able to sail round a triangle in a force 4 and be capable of self-rescue.  

Cost: £48 a day, please enter separately for the Saturday and / or Sunday

Sailors will need their own boat and warm winter sailing clothes including either a thick wetsuit, wetsuit boots and gloves or a drysuit.

To take part, sailors must be IOCA members.  If you are not currently a member there are two options:

Option 1: IOCA 2026 membership - expires on 31 December 2026

Option 2: IOCA Event membership for £3 per event entered

If there is the demand, it's our intention to also run open training on the following future weekends: 

21st and 22nd February at Burnham Sailing Club, Burnham-on-Crouch

7th and 8th March at Dabchicks Sailing Club, Mersea Island
