Braas 2025 - Magic Marine Easter Regatta

The entry for Brass 25 is ONLY open to sailors who are currently on the Waiting List. 

Braas 25 has reached maximun numbers and a Waiting List is now operating. If additional places become available you will be contacted. 

Braas is a four day event and is located on a lake. This is a less challenging venue and is often treated as a first international event by many sailors.

- Based on feedback from last year, the class will run this as a parent-led event akin to an IOCA event. This will result in a much reduced IOCA ‘participation’ fee but with the caveat that all parents volunteer.

- Entries* will be limited to 28 sailors on a first come basis (7:1 ratio)

- Price is £40 per sailor.  This will cover the sailor’s contribution towards (i) the cost of IOCA rib transport to/from the UK, (ii) the daily support allowance for non-IOCA ribs being used by parents to support IOCA sailors, and (iii) the cost of fuel for IOCA and non-IOCA ribs.  For the avoidance of doubt, IOCA are not providing any coaching at Braas (hence the low price per sailor).

Rib Support
- Towing rates for all ribs have been updated to 45 pence per mile (up from 20 pence per mile last year).

- For non IOCA ribs, the daily support allowance will be uplifted from £30 to £60 for these international events.

*Entry limit may be extended if we can source additional ribs.
