Hi Just wondering how ties are broken as 16/17th place are tied after discard but the last race and highest discard rules don’t seem to fit the current standings in the provisional results Not a buggy just trying to resolve a family discussion before the kids see each other at tweakando Monday night

I am not sure why I have been given a DNE because I had no visualisation of who was black flagged so therefore continued with race one. I also did not hear any sail numbers being shouted out whom were over the line. Please may I be given a reason why I have been given a DNE.
Witnesses: At the finish line I crossed in 37th place. Committee boat acknowledged I had finished, and again no verbal or visual sign was made to indicate I had made a rule infringement.

Nia capsized on the final run. She was beside pippa knights when it happened. She struggled was advised to retire which she agreed to. The lead boat has by this time finished. However, the safety team started to whiskey finish boats on the windward left (effectively two legs behind nia). Nia was not whisked but should have been / per the boats on the reaching and windward leg.
